Hi dudes,
I'm gonna get straight to the point kays??
I was really pissed when I read a certain article in The Straits Times- MJ still masked in mystery- by a certain, JOHN LUI. Read my complain e-mail to find out why. (I couldn't send it to John Lui since my mom didn't let me... she said i should re-phrase it and send it to the Straits Times Forum instead)
Here it is:
First off, I refused to start off with," Dear John" as I feel highly offended by your article, MJ still masked in mystery, published in the "Life!" section of The Straits Times, Friday, Oct 30 2009.
Second, as a critic, you should have at least left out the part where you mentioned that MJ looks like Joker and sounds like a 12-year-old. I mean, by criticising him in this way, does it make you any better?
Third, right at the end of this article, you mentioned that his thinking had nurtured such a long chain of poor life choices. Now, I ask you, are YOU flawless? Have'nt YOU ever made mistakes? Sure, MJ did make some poor life choices, but many of his choices make a big difference to the world, like the founding of the 'Heal the World' foundation.
Now, there are a few questions I need you to attend to and a few things that I want to point out.
1.Third paragraph,"Less because there are (1)no arena crowds and (2)not all the songs are in final, show-ready condition" Both statements,1&2, are true. But WHY is it that there are no arena crowds or that not all the songs are in final and show-ready condition? THE MAN IE before he could FINISH preparing!!!
2. A quote from your article,"Jackson.....new and old, once again proving that after his thriller album, the quality of his music fell off a cliff." What. in. the. world? Hit songs after thriller: Black or White, Bad, Man In the Mirror, angerous, Human Nature, Remember the time, You are not Alone, Earth Song, Heal the world, We are the world.... and many, many, more.
Finally, I shall quote a few sentences from an article, Stars say This Is It, also in the Life! section of The Straits Times, Thursday, October 29 2009.
"Los Angeles - Michael Jackson's This Is It premiered to a star-filled crowd on Tuesday in Los Angeles, winning early praise from critics and showing fans that the King of Pop could still entertain."
"Aspiring dancer,Jessica Childs, 21, who caught the Los Angeles premiere, said: He looked better than he did when he was 30. His voice stood out. "
"The Hollywood Reporter critic Krik Honeycutt wrote: Looks like the world has missed one helluva concert."
Regards,
Mione
